Brisk One is an abstract painter specializing in works on canvas, graffiti lettering, graphic design and large scale murals.
He started writing graffiti in the late 80’s and mentored under the artists Zeno, Quasar and has currently been assisting the artist OG Slick on some large scale murals. His first group artshow was in 1994 and has participated in over 100 group and solo shows since then. His works have been displayed at The Oceanside Museum, The Museum of Us in Balboa Park, The Childrens Museum in San Diego and The California Center of the Arts Escondido. As an instructor he has assisted workshops at Juvenial Hall East Mesa facility, UPAC San Diego, Rancho Buena Vista High School and Writerz Blok at The Jacobs Center.
Brisk enjoys pushing the envelope on traditional wildstyle graffiti letterforms and appreciates and good handstyle or signature. His paintings on canvas and walls are experiments of color and deconstructed letterforms. He likes to create movement and show versatility with his work. He will continue to progress and hopefully liberate other artists to experiment with different styles as well.
